MAJOR BREAKING: Another Highly Rated Super Talented Guard Transfer To Missouri Tiger

ESPN’s No. 39 recruit in the class of 2025, revealed  that she has committed to Missouri’s women’s basketball program after completing her freshman year with Michigan. She shared the news through her social media account.

Mathurin adds valuable scoring ability for second-year head coach Kellie Harper and the Tigers, who are set to lose four of their top five scorers from last season. During her time at Michigan, she stood out as the only freshman to both log significant playing time and reach double figures in a game, contributing to the team’s runner-up finish in the Big Ten and a trip to the Elite Eight.

In 25 games, Mathurin averaged 3.5 points in 8.9 minutes per contest, shooting an efficient 46% from the field and 38.9% from beyond the arc. Though she never exceeded 20 minutes off the bench at Michigan, the 5-foot-10 guard still managed to score in double figures on three occasions.

Despite her relatively small role and being early in her career, Mathurin displayed impressive efficiency as a freshman and is poised to take on a significantly larger role at Missouri. She’s no stranger to carrying that kind of responsibility, having led Broken Arrow High School to the Oklahoma 6A state championship game in 2025.

At Broken Arrow, Mathurin thrived, averaging at least 21.7 points and two steals per game during her junior and senior seasons. Beyond the numbers, she stood out for her smooth shooting stroke, ability to create her own shot, strong drives to the basket, and relentless defensive presence.

Mathurin stacked up a variety of awards and accolades in her time prior to college. From setting Broken Arrow’s scoring record to earning multiple player of the year and all-state honors, and playing for Team Trae Young in AAU, Mathurin’s resume is off the charts.

Adding Mathurin is yet another impressive move from Harper, who landed three four-star prospects in her incoming 2026 freshman class. The Tigers didn’t make the cut when Mathurin made her finalized list of 14 teams near the end of her high school recruitment.

Although Missouri lost Shannon Dowell and Chloe Sotell to the transfer portal, who combined for 22.9 points per game last year, the Tigers’ guard room is beginning to take form. While retaining leading scorer Grace Slaughter, the Tigers have brought in a strong pool of talent, such as Mathurin and incoming freshmen Natalya Hodge and Jada Maples.

Five Tigers have entered the portal upon its opening, including Dowell, Sotell, MaRiya Vincent, Hannah Linthacum and Lisa Thompson have entered. The deadline to enter is on Monday, April 20.
