Fran Brown and the Syracuse Orange are making strides for the future, securing three recent commitments as they prepare for next season and beyond.
A cornerback from Florida, has committed to Syracuse, turning down several other offers, including from Florida, LSU, and Texas A&M. The 6’1″ corner from Fleming Island, Florida, is rated as a four-star prospect by Rivals and is widely regarded as a top 70 cornerback in the 2025 class.
Singleton will be joined in the 2025 class by Deangelo Thompson, a defensive end from Miami. The 6’4″, 225-pound Thompson was previously committed to Florida Atlantic but made the decision to flip his commitment over the weekend. He also received offers from Kentucky, Coastal Carolina, and FIU.
The third recent commitment is Jaxson Gates, a defensive back from La Verne, California, who is part of the 2026 class. The 6’1″ Gates is a three-star recruit and becomes the second player to commit to Syracuse in the 2026 class.
