Another 4-star super talent has made another significant change in his recruitment for the 2025 class.
After several visits to Auburn since the summer, he has switched his commitment to Auburn, just under three weeks before National Signing Day. He initially committed to the Trojans over the Tigers in June.
Following three more visits to Auburn, including trips for Big Cat Weekend and games against Vanderbilt and Arkansas this fall, the No. 12-ranked cornerback in the Rivals250, decided Auburn was the right fit.
He officially made the commitment before attending the Tigers’ game against Louisiana-Monroe this weekend.
“I’m trusting my gut,” Arnoux told Rivlals of his decision to flip to the Tigers.
“I’ve been able to build a real relationship with the staff and my gut tells me it’s right.”
The highly-rated cornerback from Carrollton (Ga.) High School, Shamar Arnoux, was once verbally committed to Tennessee. After taking several official visits in June, he committed to USC, choosing the Trojans over Auburn and Florida State.
Following his commitment to USC, Arnoux’s first visit was back to Auburn, and he is set to visit the Tigers for the fourth time on Saturday. Miami also showed interest in the 6-foot-2, 180-pound prospect during his recruitment.
“Every time I step foot in Auburn, Ala.,” he said, “It feels like I’m home.”
