Ole Miss football received disappointing news about wide receiver ahead of their upcoming game against the Georgia Bulldogs. In the team’s initial injury report for the week, Harris was labeled as doubtful.
The availability report for Ole Miss was a tough one, with 26 players listed, including several key contributors. At wide receiver, Izaiah Hartrup and Jordan Watkins were both out, while Cayden Lee was listed as questionable. The running back position also took a hit, with Henry Parrish Jr. and Logan Diggs both out. On defense, edge rusher Princely Umanmielen is probable to play, while defensive linemen JJ Pegues is questionable and Walter Nolen is probable.
Tre Harris’ absence isn’t a new challenge for Ole Miss this season. The wide receiver has been sidelined since Week 7, when he sustained an undisclosed lower-body injury against LSU. While it seems unlikely he’ll return this week, having Harris back would be a major boost for the Rebels, especially as they prepare to face Georgia, arguably their toughest opponent of the 2024 season.
Despite missing the last two games, Harris still leads the team in catches and receiving yards, and ranks second in receiving touchdowns. His continued strong performance, even while out, highlights his crucial role in Ole Miss’ offense. Remarkably, he remains ranked fourth nationally in total receiving yards, underscoring his importance to the team.
