BREAKING: Offseason trade see Toronto Blue Jays Landing $152 million free agent shortstop

The Blue Jays are currently considering trading Bo Bichette, and several teams, including the Dodgers, Brewers, and Braves, have shown interest. According to Pressnell, trading Bichette could open the door for Orelvis Martinez to step up as the starting shortstop in Toronto.

Bichette, still young and talented, could fetch a better trade value than his performance last year, especially with many teams in need of a shortstop this winter.

The Blue Jays are also looking at Willy Adames as a potential replacement for Bichette. Adames, who is set to become a free agent this winter after an impressive season with 32 home runs and 112 RBIs, is expected to secure a lucrative contract—potentially six years for $152 million.

While the Brewers would like to retain him, they typically don’t offer such high salaries, making it likely he will enter free agency. Bichette, meanwhile, recently signed a three-year, $33 million extension and will be a free agent after next season.
