Emmanuel Clase Sends Unbelievable Message After Rough Game 3 Outing

CLEVELAND, OHIO - OCTOBER 17: Emmanuel Clase #48 of the Cleveland Guardians reacts after a home run during the eighth inning against the New York Yankees during Game Three of the American League Championship Series at Progressive Field on October 17, 2024 in Cleveland, Ohio.

Emmanuel Clase had one of the most impressive seasons ever for a closer, achieving 47 saves and a remarkable 0.61 ERA by allowing just five earned runs in 74.1 innings.

However, following his disappointing performance in Game 3 of the ALCS, he has now given up more runs in the postseason than he did throughout the entire regular season. After the game, the standout closer shared an Instagram story featuring his awards from this year and his hand adorned with flashy rings, accompanied by a caption that read, “we’ll talk tomorrow…good night.”

This post is likely to upset many fans, especially after Clase skipped postgame media availability following his back-to-back home runs allowed to Aaron Judge and Giancarlo Stanton, which cost the team its 3-1 lead.

He also struggled in the ALDS against the Detroit Tigers, giving up three home runs and six earned runs in the postseason, a stark contrast to the two home runs he allowed during the regular season.

It seems no closer is safe this postseason, as leads are slipping away across the board. Even Yankees closer Luke Weaver blew his first save of the year, allowing Jhonkensy Noel’s game-tying two-run homer with two outs in the ninth inning.

Clase likely shared his Instagram story to ease fans’ concerns and remind everyone that it’s not the end of the world, assuring them he’ll be ready for the next game.
