6-7 Washington, D.C. native is regarded as a superb outside shooter, and now that he committed on Monday afternoon, South Carolina coach Lamont Paris can include him in his offensive plan going forward.
The weekend of the Ole Miss football game was his formal visit to USC. Additionally, he paid the Florida Gulf Coast an official visit. Fairfield, Iona, Canisius, Youngstown State, Morehead State, George Washington, and New Jersey Tech have also extended offers to him.
Polk performs in Washington, D.C. for St. Albans. He averaged 19 points and 6 rebounds per game the previous campaign. Most astonishingly, Polk made 87 three-pointers.
“Not being cocky or anything, but I think I’m one of the best shooters in the country,” Polk said last month. “I’m really good at knocking down shots efficiently. And also, being 6-7, that helps.”
And based on his knowledge of Paris’s coaching style, Polk anticipates being able to shoot a lot of threes while playing for the Gamecocks.
“I like how he lets his players play the game,” Polk said. “He lets them do what they are good at and doesn’t disturb that. They don’t really have like a set offense. They just play good basketball. Coach Paris mentioned a lot that he likes an offense where they pass more than they dribble and create a lot of spacing.”
For their 2025 class, Polk offers the Gamecocks four commits.
