Kail Ellis, a four-star interior offensive lineman, has decided to reclassify to the 2025 class and will be signing with Auburn in December. The Cass High School student from Canton, Ga., shared his announcement on social media on Sunday.

“Auburn, my family, and I believe this gives me the best chance to reach my goals,” Ellis stated. “I feel blessed to have this incredible opportunity to play the game, so I want to come in early, learn from the experienced players, and work hard to earn my spot.”

Ellis also consulted with Auburn head coach Hugh Freeze and offensive line coach Jake Thornton before finalizing his decision.

“After discussing it with Coach Thornton and Coach Freeze, I believe this is the right choice,” he stated.

The recent commitment of four-star quarterback Deuce Knight also played a role in Ellis’s decision.

“With the current 2025 class of linemen and Deuce coming in, I can’t wait to be his center,” Ellis said.

Ellis is now the 26th commitment in Auburn’s 2025 class and the sixth offensive lineman, joining fellow linemen Tavaris Dice, Broderick Shull, Tai Buster, Jacobe Ward, and Spencer Dowland.

“Excited is an understatement,” Ellis expressed. “I’m thrilled to be part of the Auburn culture and to start my development early. It’s truly a blessing from God, and being part of this elite 2025 class is something special. This class is different!”

Ellis intends to complete his junior year of high school before reporting to Auburn in the summer.

“I’ll be signing on December 4, which is just a few months away,” he mentioned. “I’ll enroll in June to meet my academic obligations.”

He also plans to take an official visit to Auburn during the weekend of the Texas A&M game (November 22-24).

“I’m just ready!!” he exclaimed. “It’s that simple. Ready to be a Tiger.”
