Georgia Bulldogs fans are facing disappointing news as another key player is sidelined.
The Georgia Bulldogs have been managing injuries throughout the season, and they face additional challenges as they prepare to host the Auburn Tigers on Saturday, Oct. 5, at 3:30 p.m. ET.
Senior linebacker Smael Mondon Jr. has sustained an injury this week that will keep him from playing against Auburn. There were no updates on his condition after the Alabama game, but he has been officially ruled out, suggesting the injury occurred during practice. This marks his first missed game of the season.
Georgia fans can expect increased playing time for sophomores Raylen Wilson and CJ Allen. The Bulldogs’ defense is relatively young in the middle, but it is also quite talented. Redshirt sophomore Terrell Foster, along with freshmen Chris Cole and Justin Williams, may also see more action.
In terms of other injuries, Roderick Robinson is still sidelined after preseason surgery for turf toe, London Humphreys remains out due to mononucleosis, and Tate Ratledge is continuing his recovery and likely won’t return until November.
