Three of the Texas Rangers’ top 30 prospects are heading to the Arizona Fall League to play for the Surprise Saguaros, as announced by Major League Baseball. Outfielder (No. 16), and right-handed pitchers (No. 25) and (No. 29) highlight the eight Rangers prospects invited.
Osuna had an impressive season, finishing with a .292/.362/.507/.869 slash line, including a career-high 18 home runs and 61 RBIs, along with 17 steals. His performance drew comparisons to Yankees outfielder Alex Verdugo.
Stephan, an undrafted free agent since 2021, faced some challenges this year with elbow inflammation. He posted a 4.94 ERA over 12 games (11 starts) with 55 strikeouts in 58.1 innings. Despite setbacks, he had winning records in his previous two seasons.
Hales, a fourth-round pick in 2023, emerged as one of the best relievers in the system, achieving a 3.18 ERA over 44 games with 66 strikeouts and 10 saves.
The Rangers will compete alongside prospects from the Royals, Astros, Guardians, and Orioles in Surprise, Arizona. The AFL season kicks off on October 7, featuring various special events and culminating in the championship game on November 15.
