Georgia football head coach Kirby Smart has provided an update on the injury status of defensive lineman ahead of the game against Alabama.
This highly anticipated matchup is set to take place in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, featuring the Georgia Bulldogs against the Alabama Crimson Tide and Kalen DeBoer in his first year with the program.
During a media briefing on Monday, Coach Smart discussed the Bulldogs’ injury report, expressing hope that some key players would return in time for the game. Mykel Williams, who has been sidelined since the Clemson game, is among those players. Coach Smart shared his thoughts on Williams’ status:
“I’m hopeful. We will see. He didn’t do much last week but received a lot of rehab on Friday and Sunday. He was able to run, but we’ll have to see how things go in practice today.”
Georgia will face Alabama in a top-five matchup this week, with kickoff scheduled for 7 PM ET. This marks the first regular-season encounter between the two teams since 2020.
