Florida State will need to kick off its 2024 season without several key starters, as injuries are already piling up for the Seminoles early in what has been a disappointing campaign.
A spokesperson for Florida State announced that senior running back Roydell Williams and redshirt senior offensive tackle Robert Scott will miss the Saturday night game against Cal.
Williams started all three of the team’s previous games and wasn’t listed as injured by head coach Mike Norvell earlier in the week. Scott has filled in at both tackle positions over the last two games, stepping up due to the injuries of Jeremiah Byers and Darius Washington.
This news is particularly concerning for an FSU offense that has struggled to gain traction on the ground, averaging just 2.2 yards per carry and 52 rushing yards per game—ranking second to last in the nation.
