JUST IN: Nice One! Phillies beat San Francisco Giants and Chicago Cubs on$500 million superstar commit

The Philadelphia Phillies are already one of baseball’s top teams. With their impressive roster, they have a strong chance of representing the National League in the World Series this winter. The Phillies are also known for their proactive approach in free agency, and regardless of their World Series outcome, they are expected to be active in the offseason.

One area where the Phillies could improve is the outfield, and FanSided’s Robert Murray has identified them as a “team to watch” for New York Yankees star Juan Soto.

Murray noted, “Juan Soto, turning 26 in October, is set to test the free-agent market and is likely to command a deal exceeding $500 million.

The Yankees will aim to keep him, while the Mets pose a potential threat as well. However, with former teammates Bryce Harper, Trea Turner, and Kyle Schwarber, plus ex-hitting coach Kevin Long, the Phillies could be contenders. Other teams in the mix include the San Francisco Giants and Chicago Cubs.”

Soto is among the best in the game and will be compensated accordingly. Although New York is considered the front-runner for his services, the numerous ties he has with the Phillies keep them in the conversation for his acquisition this offseason.
