Huge Boost: Miami dolphins Reportedly Sign Tua Tagovailoa Replacement

The Miami Dolphins faced a significant setback when quarterback Tua Tagovailoa sustained a concussion during their Week 2 match against the Buffalo Bills. This marks Tagovailoa’s third concussion in his NFL career, with a previous one occurring during his college years at Alabama in 2019.

One of Tagovailoa’s concussions in 2023 led to changes in league protocols. The risks associated with his continuing to play in the NFL, both short-term and long-term, are notably high and concerning. Many former NFL players have urged the 26-year-old to retire.

Tagovailoa has indicated that he does not plan to retire but is consulting with specialists before making any final decisions about his future in the league.

In the meantime, the Dolphins have signed quarterback Tyler Huntley from the Baltimore Ravens’ practice squad.

Will Huntley play for the Dolphins against the Seahawks on Sunday?
With Tagovailoa out, the Dolphins’ backup quarterback Skylar Thompson is expected to start against the Seattle Seahawks this Sunday. However, NFL Network has suggested that Huntley might also be used, depending on Thompson’s performance in the coming weeks.

Who is Tyler Huntley?
Huntley joined the Ravens as an undrafted free agent in 2020. Initially placed on the practice squad, he was later promoted to the active roster due to injuries and COVID-19 issues affecting the Ravens’ other quarterbacks.
