Over a year ago, The top star and his family made a list of “dream schools” where he hoped to continue his basketball career in college.
San Diego State was included on that list.
However, there was a challenge: He had never visited the campus, had no family ties to the university, and wasn’t being actively recruited by the Aztecs’ coaches.
“I never really heard from them,” Simmons admitted. “I was a bit let down because I knew how strong the program is and wanted to be a part of it.”
Last season, Mialovski threw for 2,764 yards and 30 touchdowns, completing 182 of 305 passes and tossing five interceptions. He is San Diego State’s first commitment for the 2025 class and will have the opportunity to sign his National Letter of Intent on December 4, 2024.
Following a mutual agreement to part ways with longtime head coach Brady Hoke earlier this offseason, former Kent State head coach Sean Lewis has stepped into the role. He aims to lead the Aztecs to improvement after a challenging 4-8 season in 2023.
