The Toronto Maple Leafs have invited free-agent forward to their training camp on a professional tryout.
Lorentz, who won the Stanley Cup with the Florida Panthers last season, recorded one goal and one assist in 16 playoff games. During the regular season with Florida, he had one goal and three points across 38 games.
At 28 years old, Lorentz previously had a career-high 10 goals and 19 points in 80 games with the San Jose Sharks during the 2022-23 season. Drafted in the seventh round of the 2015 NHL Draft by the Carolina Hurricanes, he made his pro debut with Carolina in the 2020-21 season.
The 6-foot-4 forward hails from Kitchener, Ontario.
