BREAKING: Kansas State land commitment for another top super talent

Kansas State has added another player to its 2025 recruiting class with the commitment a defensive end from Grapevine, Texas.

He announced his decision shortly after taking an official visit to Kansas State for their season opener against UT-Martin. He was accompanied on the visit by Nebraska linebacker Darien Whitaker and key 2026 targets Ian Premer, Braden Wilmes, and Tyren Parker. It’s likely that some of these prospects might also commit to K-State in the near future.

Kansas State adds defensive end Brad Stanyer

Stanyer’s recruitment moved quickly. Kansas State extended an offer after evaluating him at a summer camp, and the Wildcats soon became the front-runners. They scheduled an official visit for the season opener, during which Stanyer made his commitment. Before choosing Kansas State, he had received offers from Air Force, Army, Cornell, Montana, Texas State, and Yale.

The Wildcats have a history of recruiting successfully in Texas, and the 2025 class is no exception. With Stanyer’s commitment, K-State now has three recruits from the Lone Star State, including fellow defensive end Dalton Knapp and linebacker Weston Polk. Notably, Grapevine has been a fruitful area for K-State, also producing current offensive lineman Drake Bequeaith.

Following the losses of Kade Pietrzak and Shawn Hammerbeck, Stanyer’s addition might conclude K-State’s search for defensive ends. Knapp is expected to be a lighter pass-rusher, while Stanyer will provide a more robust defensive end presence, similar to Chiddi Obiazor and Travis Bates, fitting into the Wildcats’ 3-3-5 defense.

Overall, Stanyer’s commitment is the 18th for Kansas State in the 2025 recruiting class.
