Left-handed pitcher has signed a one-year contract with the Texas Rangers valued at $1.6 million.
Beeks, 32, posted a 5–3 record with one save and a 3.77 ERA in 61 games for the Arizona Diamondbacks last season. During 57⅓ innings, he recorded 47 strikeouts.
He also showed balanced effectiveness against both sides of the plate, holding right-handed hitters to a .624 OPS and limiting left-handed batters to a .611 OPS.
The deal includes up to $1 million in performance incentives based on appearances: $75,000 for reaching 10 and 15 games, $100,000 for 20 games, and $125,000 each for 25, 30, 40, 50, 60, and 65 appearances.

Across his career, Beeks has a 28–18 record with a 4.31 ERA and 16 saves in 263 appearances. He has played for the Boston Red Sox (2018), Tampa Bay Rays (2019–20, 2022–23), Colorado Rockies (2024), Pittsburgh Pirates (2024), and the Arizona Diamondbacks (2025).
To create space on their 40-man roster, the Rangers designated right-hander Alexis DÃaz for assignment.
DÃaz, 29, finished last season 1–0 with an 8.15 ERA in 18 appearances split between the Cincinnati Reds, Los Angeles Dodgers, and Atlanta Braves. He was previously selected to the All-Star team with Cincinnati in 2023.
