The Seattle Mariners have added infield depth by signing former Cleveland Guardians infielder to a league contract, the club announced during the offseason.
A former first-round draft pick, spent parts of several seasons in the Guardians’ organization, where he developed a reputation as a versatile infielder capable of playing multiple positions. While he has yet to establish himself at the major league level, the Mariners view the move as a low-risk opportunity to add experience and competition within their minor league system.
The 25-year-old is expected to report to spring training and will look to impress as he competes for a potential call-up later in the season. Seattle has focused on strengthening organizational depth this offseason, particularly in the infield, as it prepares for a long and demanding campaign.
The signing gives Wilson a fresh start with a new organization, while providing the Mariners with additional options as they evaluate their roster heading into the season.
