The Kansas City Royals traded for left-handed reliever from the Philadelphia Phillies on Friday, sending right-hander Jonathan Bowlan in return.
The 34-year-old is rejoining the organization that originally drafted him in the 21st round in 2012. He debuted in the majors with Kansas City in 2016 and spent parts of two seasons there before pitching for the San Diego Padres (2018–21), Boston Red Sox (2022), and the Phillies.
