The Buffalo Bills are off to an impressive start in the 2024 NFL season, boasting a 6-2 record as they approach Week 9. They have a significant lead over all other teams in the AFC East, making their chances of securing a postseason berth almost certain, even with half the season still to go. However, the team has received some troubling injury updates regarding one of their new offensive players.
Bills wide receiver missed practice on Wednesday due to a wrist injury, according to Maddy Glab. The team is reportedly monitoring his condition day by day.
Bills coach Sean McDermott mentioned that wide receiver Curtis Samuel and linebacker Terrel Bernard were limited in practice on Wednesday. While Amari Cooper’s wrist injury doesn’t seem serious at this point, it’s something for Bills fans to monitor closely. Cooper had a lackluster performance in Week 8, catching just one pass for three yards, likely due to this injury.
If Cooper can’t play in Week 9, the Bills are ready to adapt. The team has adopted a strategy of distributing the ball among multiple receivers rather than relying on a single star. This approach benefits Buffalo, which has a wealth of offensive talent. In Cooper’s absence, they are expected to focus on Keon Coleman, Khalil Shakir, Dalton Kincaid, and Dawson Knox in the passing game.
