The New York Giants announced that they have signed former Pittsburgh Steelers star to their practice squad. he is expected to enhance the team’s run defense and may have valuable insights into the Steelers’ strategies ahead of their upcoming Monday Night Football game.
The Steelers are likely to be without center Zach Frazier, who has been performing well in his position. Veteran Ryan McCollum will take over for the next two games. Pittsburgh’s offensive line has been plagued by injuries, losing three linemen for the remainder of the regular season.
Watts played for the Steelers in 2023 as a rotational player. He signed with the New England Patriots in the offseason but did not make the final roster after training camp.
Now, Watts has joined the Giants. Over his NFL career, he has been with the Minnesota Vikings, Chicago Bears, Steelers, Patriots, and now the Giants. In his five years in the league, he has recorded 8.5 sacks.
