This afternoon, the Georgia Bulldogs are set to face Mississippi State, and a notable recruit is already keeping an eye on the game, with the possibility of another soon joining the ranks.
High school running back Jae Lamar, who received an offer from Georgia last weekend, recently referred to the Bulldogs as his “dream team,” according to Jeff Sentell of DawgNation.
“It means a lot,” he shared. “Georgia is my dream team. I’ve always wanted to play there because of the great running backs who have come from the program, like Todd Gurley. I think it would be a great fit for me. Georgia has always been at the top of my list, and right now, they’re number one.”
Lamar, a class of 2026 recruit from Colquitt County High School in Moultrie, Georgia, hasn’t been ranked yet by recruiting sites like 247Sports, but that will likely change soon. This is one of the key reasons Georgia extended an offer to him:
The 5-foot-11 running back has impressive stats, accumulating 575 rushing yards on just 58 carries, averaging an astonishing 9.9 yards per attempt. In his sixth varsity game, he recorded 182 rushing yards on 14 carries along with 77 receiving yards, showcasing his talent. His Colquitt County team is currently ranked as the 13th-best high school team in Georgia.
It will be interesting to see where Lamar ultimately commits. If he chooses Georgia, he would join a talented young backfield alongside Nate Frazier and Dwight Phillips, which should excite Bulldogs fans.
