The Jazz have released NBA free agent training camp invitees, as announced in a press release.
All three were on Exhibit 10 contracts and are likely to join the Salt Lake City Stars in the G League. None of them participated in Utah’s preseason games.
Wong, 23, was the 55th overall pick in the draft and spent last season with the Pacers on a two-way contract. He recently played in the G League Invitational tournament.
An Exhibit 10 contract is a non-guaranteed minimum-salary agreement that doesn’t count against an NBA team’s salary cap unless the player makes the final roster. It can be converted to a two-way deal before the season starts or provide guaranteed money if a player is waived and remains with the G League team for at least 60 days.
The Jazz will start the regular season with 15 players on guaranteed contracts and three on two-way deals, completing their roster. While these 18 players are expected to be on the opening night roster, Utah may continue to adjust the remaining three spots on its 21-man preseason roster in the coming weeks, likely for G League rights or bonus-related reasons.
