JUST IN: Five-star combo guard of 2025 class commit to Washington huskies Marking their first commitment for the 2025 class

The Washington team has made a breakthrough, with coach Danny Sprinkle securing his first commitment for the 2025 class. Four-star recruit Courtland Muldrew announced on Tuesday that he will join the Huskies next season.

The 6-foot-3 combo guard, who visited Montlake last weekend, chose Washington over offers from Ole Miss, Mississippi State, LSU, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, and Creighton.

Muldrew shared with On3, which first reported his decision, that Sprinkle’s message was clear: he wants him to come in and play his game. “He showed me film of his previous guards and their average minutes,” Muldrew said. “He emphasized that his top guards play over 30 minutes a night, and he expects that from me.”

Originally from Springdale, Ark., Muldrew played at Har-Ber High, averaging 24 points, five rebounds, and four assists per game during his junior season. This summer, he showcased his skills on the Nike EYBL circuit, averaging 15.8 points, 4.3 rebounds, and 1.0 assists per game, shooting 52.1% at the Peach Jam tournament.

Ranked No. 96 nationally by 247Sports, Muldrew is transferring to the renowned Oak Hill Academy in Virginia for his senior year. Regarding his commitment to Washington, he stated, “The program needs a point guard like me, and I wanted to compete on a bigger stage on the West Coast.”

Looking ahead to the 2024-25 season, Washington’s roster will feature seven seniors, with four guards—Mekhi Mason, Tyler Harris, Zoom Diallo, and Jase Butler—projected to return. The NCAA early signing period is set for November 13-20.
