One of the most remarkable rookie seasons in WNBA history came to an end in the first round of the playoffs. After an outstanding debut year, Caitlin Clark’s journey concluded when the Indiana Fever were swept by the Connecticut Sun.

While it was disappointing for her season to finish, Clark still had an incredible year. She was named Rookie of the Year, selected as a WNBA All-Star, and set multiple records. Clark also played a significant role in elevating the game.

With the season now over for both her and the Fever, the rookie superstar took to social media to share a heartfelt message with her fans and supporters.

“Thank you to everyone who has supported me as I’ve chased my childhood dream,” Clark expressed. “I’m filled with gratitude as I look back on this past year. See you all in year two!”

The Fever selected Caitlin Clark with the No. 1 overall pick in the 2024 WNBA Draft after her standout career at Iowa. Despite the immense hype surrounding her, she lived up to every expectation.

In her first season with the Fever, Clark averaged 19.2 points, 8.4 assists, and 5.7 rebounds per game, leading the league in both assists and three-pointers made. She was honored as WNBA Rookie of the Month four times, achieving this distinction every month except June.

Making history, Clark became the first rookie in WNBA history to record a triple-double in a July game against the New York Liberty, scoring 19 points, providing 13 assists, and grabbing 12 rebounds to help secure a victory over the league’s top team.

Moreover, she set the league record for single-season assists with 337 and single-game assists with 19. Clark also finished fourth in the MVP voting, marking a remarkable year.

Grateful for the support she received throughout the season, Clark is eager to see what Year 2 has in store for her as she continues to shine since her time at Iowa.
