BREAKING: ‘This is sad’ New York Rangers fans receive unexpected heart-breaking news

New York Rangers star had to exit Tuesday night’s game due to a lower-body injury during the team’s 5-4 victory over the New Jersey Devils at Madison Square Garden.

This marked his second preseason game, and in both instances, he was not present on the bench at the end. He also departed in the third period of last week’s 6-4 win against the Islanders.

The Breadman completed four shifts in the first period on Tuesday before going to the locker room, and he was ruled out for the rest of the game at the beginning of the second period. With the season opener just a week away (October 8th in Pittsburgh), the team remains calm despite the worries surrounding his injury.

Head coach Peter Laviolette didn’t provide much information about the injury in his post-game remarks.

“Players leave the game, there’s always concern. He’s being evaluated.”

Rangers Defeat Devils in Preseason Game

On Tuesday, the Rangers played against the Devils for the second time in just 24 hours. Connor Mackey and Victor Mancini both found the net, along with forwards Kaapo Kakko, Adam Edstrom, and Vincent Trocheck.

Igor Shesterkin played the first two periods, recording 16 saves on 18 shots, while Dylan Garand took over in the third, giving up two goals on 16 shots. The teams ended up splitting their matchups, each winning on their home turf.

Adam Edstrom has stood out during training camp, scoring three goals. The coaching staff is impressed with his performance, noting that he has met many of the criteria they use to evaluate players. With Jimmy Vesey sidelined due to injury, Edstrom has a strong chance of making the opening night roster.

Their final preseason game is scheduled for Friday, when they will face the Islanders at UBS Arena.
