The Georgia Bulldogs are likely to be without Vanderbilt transfer wide receiver for their game against the Alabama Crimson Tide.
London Humphreys is reported to be suffering from mononucleosis and has made two catches for 63 yards and a touchdown this season. He had a standout touchdown against the Clemson Tigers in Week 1, and his speed poses a significant challenge for opposing defenses when he’s on the field.
Standing 6-foot-2 and weighing 200 pounds, the sophomore receiver has appeared in three games this season, but has only recorded stats in the opener. With Humphreys sidelined, Georgia will rely more on wide receiver Arian Smith as a deep threat. Other receivers like Dillon Bell, Dominic Lovett, Anthony Evans, and Colbie Young are expected to see increased playing time in his absence.
Georgia and Alabama will provide their official SEC injury report on Wednesday. The Bulldogs are also facing several injuries on their defensive line.
Arian Smith commented on the wide receiver group, saying, “We’re in a good place. We’ve made some plays on the perimeter to help our team when needed. I feel like we’ve come a long way, but there’s still room for improvement.”
