“He’s Good, He’s Fine”: Mind-Blowing News Emerge For Georgia Bulldogs Fans

The Georgia Bulldogs were missing key players in Week 2 but still easily defeated FCS foe Tennessee Tech with a score of 48-3. The team managed this win without star pass-rusher Mykel Williams, defensive lineman Warren Brinson, and running back Roderick Robinson II.

Oscar Delp Player Profile - The Sophomore Tight End Prepped for Georgia Football - Sports Illustrated Georgia Bulldogs News, Analysis and MoreDespite the victory, Georgia is hoping for a healthier roster as they prepare for their SEC opener at Kentucky in Week 3. Robinson is sidelined for an extended period due to a toe injury, and defensive lineman Jordan Hall is also out after undergoing surgery for a stress fracture in his leg. Head coach Kirby Smart anticipated these injuries, along with those to Williams and Brinson from the season opener against Clemson. However, Smart was caught off guard by the injury to tight end Oscar Delp, who left Saturday’s game with an apparent ankle injury after only 14 snaps. On Monday, Smart provided a reassuring update about Delp. “Oscar’s good, Oscar’s fine,” Smart said of the junior tight end, who is stepping into a major role following Brock Bowers’ departure. Delp has had limited impact so far, with just one catch for 13 yards in two games. Sophomore Lawson Luckie has emerged as Georgia’s leading tight end, catching all four of his targets for 80 yards and a touchdown. In contrast, graduate tight end Benjamin Yurosek has not been targeted much, with no catches to his name, making Delp’s presence crucial for the upcoming game in Lexington. Brinson is expected to play against Kentucky, but Smart’s update on Williams was less optimistic. Williams, who is recovering from a Grade 2 ankle sprain, is making progress in rehab. “He’s doing a great job of rehab, did a great job this weekend, we will have to see where he’s at,” Smart said, noting that Williams will need to be able to practice before returning to play.
