Decisions for Harvard-Westlake School (Calif.) forward Nikolas Khamenia and Gonzaga College High School (D.C.) guard Derek Dixon may be imminent, with both set to visit UNC for official tours in Chapel Hill in just two days.
Their visit coincides with the UNC football team’s home opener against Charlotte at Kenan Stadium on Saturday at 3:30 p.m. ET (ACC Network).
Khamenia, who is on the verge of earning a five-star ranking at No. 29 overall in the 247Sports 2025 Composite, recently listed his top five schools: UNC, Arizona, Duke, Gonzaga, and UCLA. He visited Arizona last weekend and will head to North Carolina again next weekend for his Duke visit.
The 6-foot-8, 210-pound forward plans to make his decision sometime in October.
Dixon, ranked No. 58 overall in the class and standing 6-foot-3 and 190 pounds, is targeting September 27 as a possible end date for his recruitment. His top six schools since late July have been UNC, Vanderbilt, Virginia, Pitt, Arizona, and Syracuse.
After his weekend with the UNC basketball program, Dixon’s only remaining visit is to Arizona next weekend.
