Brent Pry on Tucker Holloway
Football coach Brent Pry shared an update on wide receiver and punt returner Tucker Holloway with ESPN’s David Hale, revealing a mix of good and bad news. Pry expressed optimism about using Holloway in the final four games of the season while hoping to maintain his redshirt status for 2025. Holloway, known for his game-changing returns, will be replaced in this role by Jaylin Lane, who was one of the top punt returners at Middle Tennessee State before joining Virginia Tech. “It’s great to have Jaylen,” said Stu Holt in the spring. “He’s a former nationally ranked punt returner from his previous school, and although he had a return called back last season, he’s a valuable addition.”

Women’s Soccer at Delaware
The No. 21-ranked Hokies women’s soccer team will seek to extend their perfect start to the season with a non-conference match against Delaware. The Hokies have achieved shutout victories over Campbell (4-0) and James Madison (2-0) so far. This match is the second of three consecutive road games for Tech, with their road trip concluding Sunday afternoon in New Jersey against Monmouth.

Men’s Soccer Season Opener
The Hokies men’s soccer team will start their 2024 season Thursday night at Thompson Field, facing North Florida and aiming to improve on their performance from the previous year.
