Georgia Tech secure the commitment of four-star offensive lineman. By Wednesday, details emerged regarding Petty’s compensation with the Yellow Jackets.
According to an On3 report, Georgia Tech and Petty agreed to a three-year “Roster Value” deal worth a minimum of $800,000 annually. A source from Florida State, another contender for Petty, stated that his recruitment did not escalate into a bidding war.
James Petty, Josh Petty’s father, informed On3 that the appeal of Georgia Tech included both educational opportunities and NIL potential.
“My son and other athletes have the chance to build a financial foundation that will help them transition in life and address some affordability issues,” the elder Petty stated.
